Cat

Firstly, Mr Vusumuzi 'Cat' Matlala's appearance before the Adhoc Committee must help us understand a portion of claims made by Lt. General Mkhwanazi.

The intention is to get him to give us information that leads to productive outcomes. It must not be confused with a platform or a public gallery where politicians demonstrate how holy they are and attack those who have been REQUESTED to appear before the committee. Shouting at Cat Matlala or making him look like the worst criminal only helps those who wish to use the platform for personal glorification.

As much as Cat is a bad person to many, trust me, he still and will always inspire many black township youth who after Matric have nowhere to go because of the same politicians who are sitting in that Adhoc Comiittee.

I mean the guy told us LOUDLY that he is a product of our country's system which still fails millions of black youth as we watch these proceedings. Born and raised in the streets by an albino mother who got rapped and never recoered from that, Matlala embodies a story of many of our youth today.

The role of all members of the committee, I believe, it to look beyond Cat or his criminality and try to figure out how we all got here? How did we end up with a Minister who just wakes up and disband the whole PKTT?

Trust me we know that ALL politicians are simply pursuing their OWN ambitions and are not going to put our interests before theirs. So they must stop pretending. Personally, without condoning crime, I like Cat Matlala and will always apload him for rising from a boy on the street to making R2 million monthly.

Only if we can just realize he could have done that without committing crime. He will remain a story told way beyond all politicians political mileage. You are free to engage me further on this if you have courage!!!
